One of our customized rotary drum granulators recently completed its factory preparation and was loaded onto a specialized heavy-duty transport vehicle, departing from the factory for its destination in Beijing.
This rotary drum granulator has a drum diameter of 1.8 meters, a length of 8 meters, and weighs approximately 11 tons, classifying it as an oversized and overweight item. Before transportation, the logistics department communicated with highway authorities along the route to confirm travel times and height restrictions. A low-bed trailer was used for loading, with the front of the drum elevated to keep the overall transport height below 4.2 meters. Two rubber vibration-damping pads were laid between the drum and the trailer, and four high-strength chains were used to cross-tension the drum at the front and rear lifting lugs to prevent rolling during long-distance transport.
This rotary drum granulator will be used in the granulation section of the customer's new compound fertilizer pilot production line. The internal structure of the cylinder is equipped with a combination of lifting plates designed according to the material characteristics. The front section is a lifting type, and the rear section is a baffle type, which can extend the material residence time. Two rolling rings are installed on the outer wall of the cylinder, and the support roller device is a self-aligning structure. The cylinder speed is steplessly adjustable between 4 and 8 rpm via a frequency converter. Before shipment, the equipment underwent 6 hours of continuous no-load operation, with the axial movement of the cylinder controlled within 3 mm and the bearing temperature rise normal.
Accompanying documents include equipment installation drawings, foundation load parameters, lubrication and maintenance manual, and test run records. The vehicle has departed according to the planned route and is expected to arrive in Beijing in 3 days. Our installation personnel have already communicated with the customer regarding the site access conditions, and installation will begin immediately upon the equipment's arrival.
