Features of the extrusion roller granulator in the compound fertilizer equipment: The extrusion granulator is dry granulation equipment that uses pressure to agglomerate solid materials. By squeezing the material by two counter-rotating rollers, the rollers are driven by an eccentric sleeve or hydraulic system. When the solid material is squeezed, the air between the powder particles is first removed to rearrange the particles to eliminate the gaps between the materials.

When brittle materials are squeezed, parts of the particles are crushed, and the fine powder fills the gaps between the particles. In this case, the newly generated free chemical bonds on the surface cannot be quickly saturated by atoms or molecules from the surrounding atmosphere, and the new generation when the surfaces touch each other, a strong recombination bond is formed. When the plastic material is squeezed, the particles will deform or flow, creating a strong van der Waals gravitational force.

In the final stage of the extrusion process, the energy formed by the pressure to the system forms a hot spot at the contact point between the particles, which causes the material to melt, and the temperature drops and the material cools to form a fixed bridge. The thickness of the large pieces produced by extrusion is 5-20mm, and the surface density is 1.5-3 times that of the feed. The large pieces are beaten, crushed, and sieved to obtain the required granular output.


Working principle of drum granulator:

Through a certain amount of water or steam, the main working method is wet granulation of agglomerates. The basic fertilizer is fully chemically reacted in the cylinder after the humidity is adjusted. Under certain liquid phase conditions, with the help of the rotation of the cylinder, the squeezing force between the material particles can be formed into balls.
