How does the Organic Fertilizer Ferments
We all know the organic fertilizer is through the fermentation, it’s loved by many farmers because of environmental, and no pollution. And the fermentation is an important part of organic fertilizer production process. But how does the organic fertilizer ferments?
First, combine the organic fertilizer with the crop straw (about 10 centimeters), add a certain percentage of water (water content 50-60%), and use a little more moisture in summer to prevent nitrogen fertilizer aching. The winter should be less so as to avoid slow fever due to poor ventilation.
And then, make an accumulation, the height and width of each pile are 1.5-2m, the length is not limited, and 4-6cm thick fine soil is covered outside the pile. In the early stage, heap rot is good aerobic fermentation. To loosen ventilation, multiple vent holes can be set in the stack. After 20 days of rot, the first turn is performed, the outer layer is turned over to the inner layer, and the inner layer is turned over to the outer layer. Continue stacking for another 20 days for a second turn.
When the compost surface is formed with white hair mainly composed of fungal hyphae, Peugeot compost will enter the stage of anaerobic fermentation. At this time, the fertilizer heap should be compacted and sealed with mud to prevent the loss of nitrogen fertilizer and allow it to mature slowly. Generally, composting takes about 1-2 months in summer, and it takes about 3-4 months in winter to decompose.
One important point to notice is that the fermentation time of organic fertilizers should be judged according to the actual situation, and the temperature difference in different regions is also a factor that affects the fermentation time.
