Introduction

The chain crusher is a simple-to-operate and highly adaptable crushing equipment for high-moisture materials. In organic fertilizer and compound fertilizer production lines, it is responsible for breaking down lumpy fermentation materials and fertilizer raw materials to the fineness required for granulation. The equipment is not picky about materials; it can handle wet, dry, sticky, and loose materials. Operators only need to manage the feeding speed and periodically replace worn chains. One chain crusher can serve the front-end crushing section of multiple production lines, making it a commonly used and easily maintained piece of equipment in organic fertilizer workshops.

Working Principle

The motor drives the rotor to rotate at high speed. The chains suspended in layers on the rotor open under centrifugal force. After the material falls into the crushing chamber, it is repeatedly whipped, impacted, and sheared by the rotating chains, gradually crushing it between the chains and the chamber wall lining. The finely crushed material passes through the bottom screen and is discharged, while the coarse material remains in the chamber for further crushing. The chain constantly vibrates during rotation, automatically throwing off any wet material adhering to it, unlike fixed hammers which are prone to sticking.

Operating Instructions

Before starting the machine, check that the chain suspension is secure and free from breakage or damage, that the screen is intact and undamaged, and that there is no residual material left over from the previous shutdown. After confirming everything is normal, start the machine empty for one or two minutes. Once the sound is normal, begin feeding material evenly.

Maintain a stable feeding rate, avoiding sudden changes in quantity to prevent overload and stalling. During production, carefully observe the fineness of the output material and changes in current. A coarser output material may indicate screen wear and perforation or a worn-out chain. An abnormally high current usually indicates excessive feeding or obstruction by hard objects.

Before shutting down, stop feeding first, allow the remaining material in the chamber to drain, and then disconnect the power. For long-term shutdowns, clean out any residual material in the chamber to prevent it from drying out and affecting the next startup.

Applications

Organic Fertilizer Production Line: Crushing and dispersing fermented materials to provide qualified powder for disc granulation, roller extrusion granulation, etc.

Compound Fertilizer Production Line: Crushing and returning agglomerated raw materials; re-crushing large particles after screening.

Bio-Organic Fertilizer Production: Slight crushing and mixing of materials after adding microbial agents to maintain agent activity.

Sludge Treatment: Crushing and homogenizing dewatered sludge mixed with auxiliary materials.

Feed Processing: Coarse crushing of oilseed cakes and other raw materials.
